SAS Australia shocked viewers on Wednesday night when recruits were put through alarming terrorist simulations in the Middle East.
During the nail-biting episode of the Channel Seven show, the remaining ten recruits were forced to endure alarming challenges that many at home found excessive.
In a ‘precision test’, recruits had to travel a dangerous distance of 50 meters from the top of a building before coming into contact with ‘terrorists’ who spoke Arabic.
The enemies are depicted as radicals from the Middle East, dressed in dark, heavy clothing with black turbans around their heads.
Recruits were then expected to run into a room where hostages were being held and ‘rescue’ them by quickly identifying and ‘killing’ the terrorists.

During the nail-biting episode of the Channel Seven show, the remaining ten recruits were forced to endure alarming challenges that many at home found excessive.
Shocked viewers quickly took to social media to condemn the show for airing the disturbing footage just days after the Hamas attack in Israel.
“Bad timing to air this episode of SAS Australia,” one viewer complained about the disturbing scenes.
“A little harder to get into tonight’s episode,” a second person began.
‘A bit too close to what’s happening in the Middle East at the moment. I know it’s just a TV show, but tonight’s content is reminiscent of the devastation abroad. In the hope of peace for all,” they continued.
“The awkward silence of the hashtag #sasaustralia is a vibe,” another added.
“This prime time show features fake terrorists with machine guns… too soon,” wrote another.
Daily Mail Australia has approached Channel Seven for comment.

Many viewers questioned the timing of the episode
Another task later in the episode forced recruits to undergo live grenade training and, under heavy fire, infiltrate a building to take out enemies.
The horror show began when recruits were asked to allegedly throw live grenades onto a roof, which exploded on impact.
A ‘terrorist’ stood on top of the building where the bombs were dropped, and recruits were expected to attack them with the explosive weapons.
In one terrifying moment, some recruits failed to do this and had to take cover as an explosion went off next to them.
The confrontational episode of SAS Australia comes amid the horrific terror attack that took place at the Universo Paralello psy-trance festival on Saturday.
Victims of the horrors unleashed by Palestinian terror group Hamas include people from abroad who attended the festival, including British citizens.
More than 700 Israeli soldiers and civilians were shot dead or blown up during rocket attacks launched by Palestinian gunmen in the desert outside Kibbutz Re’im.
They mowed down some 260 innocent people at the music festival in a brutal, unexpected offensive that drew comparisons to the September 11 attacks and Pearl Harbor.
