Prince William has absolutely no interest in speaking to Harry again until he apologizes for his high-profile attacks on the royal family, an expert has claimed after they avoided each other during his visit to see cancer-stricken King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, flew more than 5,000 miles from his home in California to London for what ended up being a 45-minute meeting with his father.

The Prince’s transatlantic career had raised hopes that his return to Britain would serve as a healing wound with Charles and a chance to get closer to his brother, Prince William, 41, amid their ongoing dispute.

But he flew back to his Montecito home after just one day in the UK, after he is believed to have spent the night in a luxury hotel rather than a royal residence.

He did not see his brother at all during the visit, but a source later claimed that the Prince would have “gladly agreed” to a meeting with his brother.

“William would be upset that Harry has, once again, chosen to make this visit to see his father a public relations opportunity,” said Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine. Sun.

‘As far as William is concerned, he has no interest in speaking to Harry until Harry behaves like a gentleman and apologizes for the years of rudeness and insults he has directed at William and the Princess of Wales.

“William must be privately furious thinking all these years about how he supported Harry and at this time in his life, when his 75-year-old father and his 13-year-old wife are potentially seriously ill, the only thing Harry can do is thinking is about Harry and using it as an opportunity to announce his arrival and hope to see William.

The royal expert claimed Harry’s immediate visit showed his “impulsive” nature remained key, and that his rush to travel to the UK “stirs things up” for William.

The Duke is now expected to join Meghan in Canada next week for an event to mark one year to the Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler.

The Prince of Wales is believed to remain focused on caring for his wife Kate, who is recovering from her abdominal surgery and will take an extended leave from public duties until after Easter.

Meanwhile, Harry has barely spoken to his father since Queen Elizabeth’s death and there was reportedly no contact when he celebrated his 39th birthday.

People close to Harry said he would welcome the opportunity to reunite with his brother, with a source adding: “The duke’s main reason for traveling to the UK is to visit his father.” If he had had the opportunity to see the Prince of Wales, the Duke would have gladly accepted it.

Palace sources have said there were no plans for a meeting between Harry and William while the Duke of Sussex is in London.

While waiting for the duke to return home, Meghan was pictured flashing a smile as she drove near the couple’s home in California yesterday.

Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and now live in California.

Royal expert Jennie Bond told MailOnline that Prince Harry’s visit to the UK shows how deep the royal divide has really become.

She claimed: ‘William has shown today that he has disowned Harry, doesn’t want to meet him and probably doesn’t even like him anymore. Harry just isn’t part of his life.

“That rift is so deep now, and this has been shown by the fact that Harry is here and they haven’t met, so deep that I really wonder if it can ever be repaired.”

And Robert Jobson told Mail+ that while Charles may have been touched by his “dear boy’s” gesture, it has actually caused him “some uneasiness by ‘taking responsibility’ for flying over him without being asked.”

Charles, 75, was seen in public for the first time since his cancer diagnosis when he left his offices at Clarence House after a brief reunion with Harry.

Last night, the Prince of Wales spoke for the first time about the King’s cancer diagnosis and expressed his gratitude to the public for their “kind messages of support”.

William’s words of praise, delivered during a gala fundraising dinner, also acknowledged those wishing the Princess of Wales well as she recovers from planned abdominal surgery.

He told guests: “It means a lot to all of us.”

William had taken time off to support his family following Kate’s operation on January 16 and returned to public duties once his care and recovery had settled.

But her first day back on duty came as the royal family was grappling with the health scare surrounding her father, the head of state whose reign will mark 17 months on Thursday.

William gave his pre-dinner speech at the event, raising funds for London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s new helicopter fleet, where guests included Hollywood star Tom Cruise and Arsenal football club coach Mikel Arteta.

The prince said: ‘I would like to take this opportunity to also thank Catherine and my father for the kind messages of support, especially in recent days. It means a lot to all of us.

“It’s fair to say the last few weeks have been rather medical in focus so I thought I’d come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all.”

It is understood that weekly hearings between the King and Rishi Sunak are expected to resume in person within two weeks of Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Downing Street and Buckingham Palace took the unusual step of confirming details of a call between the two on Wednesday, in a bid to show the King was carrying out his duties.

The Prime Minister wished Charles well in a brief telephone conversation before formal face-to-face hearings begin again on February 21.

Kate left hospital last Monday and returned to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to join her three children, but the future queen, 42, is not expected to return to official duties until after Easter.
