Video: Witness: Thousands flee Sudan to Chad, most of them women and children

Between 10,000 and 20,000 people have fled the fighting in Sudan to seek refuge in neighboring Chad, according to UNHCR teams on the border.

“The majority of arrivals are women and children,” UNHCR said in a statement. “UNHCR is working closely with the Chadian government and its partners to assess their needs and prepare a joint response.”
