And the presidency announced that in the most affected areas of Rubavu, Ngororero, Nyaboho, Gakinki, Burira, Muzanzi and Nyamagabe, operations are continuing to “evacuate residents from the affected areas and secure a temporary place for them, as these areas are exposed to great dangers during the rains.” Pictures published by the Rwanda Broadcasting Corporation showed destroyed homes, roads cut off by landslides, flooded fields and torrents of mud.
