Cars and trucks roamed the streets honking their horns in celebration of the victory, while the supporters of the coalition, which was widely advanced in the elections, carried Turkish flags and the banners of the participating parties within the coalition. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also delivered a speech to his supporters, in which he talked about his tangible progress in the results, and said that he would respect the people’s decision if it became clear that the presidential elections were heading towards a run-off.
