About 750 people dressed in costumes dating back to 1770, including wigs and embroidered dresses, attended the Palace of Versailles, near the French capital, Paris, on Monday.

The theme of this year’s celebration was the royal wedding of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI. The price of one ticket ranged between 170-595 euros.
