The timing of the festival coincides annually with the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
On the other hand, athletes competed to face one of the most terrifying waves, called “Pororoka”, meaning the mighty roar, in the Merim River in the Brazilian Amazon.
The phenomenon of “Pororoka” occurs twice a year, when the waters of the Atlantic Ocean meet the currents of the Amazon rivers.
