Video: Ukrainian tank blows up a house being used as cover by Putin’s soldiers

Date:

A Ukrainian tank has blown up a house used as cover by Vladimir Putin’s soldiers, and a Russian armored convoy has been ambushed by paratroopers with Javelin missiles, two dramatic videos can be seen today.

Footage from the first incident, captured by a drone, shows a snowy battlefield that was once the site of a suburb. Only one house is still standing in the community that was otherwise razed to the ground during the fighting.

As the scene is framed, the tank – somewhat camouflaged in the snow – comes into view. The operators appear to take a shot with the main turret.

Suddenly, a flash of light erupts from the tank as it fires a bullet. A split second later, smoke explodes from the nearby house as it is hit.

As the drone turns to the right and smoke is still billowing from the house, it fires another flaming shot.

When a gust of wind blows over the stage, some of the smoke clears. A ruined structure sits where the house stood moments before.

But the tank is not finished yet. Determined to get rid of all the Russian soldiers, the crew moves the turret slightly to the left, before a third shot is fired, causing another explosion that rips apart the frame of the house.

Next, the tank crew turns their attention to a smaller blue building across the street from the first house. It is possible that the building is a small outbuilding.

The tank fires another shot, blasting the wooden building into splinters.

Both the house and outbuilding are almost completely destroyed, leaving little hope of survival for anyone inside when they were attacked.

The footage was obtained yesterday from the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade ‘Kholodnyi Yar’, along with a statement reading: ‘Incredible bravery of the tank crews in Bakhmut.

“The tank is moving close to the enemy and firing directly at the houses where the Russian invaders are hiding!”

It was not immediately clear how many people died in the explosion.

The dramatic war footage emerged when a separate video captured Ukrainian paratroopers knocking out a Russian armored convoy of tanks and tracked amphibious infantry vehicles called BMPs using US-made Javelin missiles.

The footage begins by showing a Ukrainian soldier in the middle of a field in the Maryinka region firing one of the anti-tank missiles, which shoot into the sky.

The footage was then cut into more drone-caught aerial footage, which depicts several Russian war machines exploding on the battlefield.

With each blast, a small flash of missile is seen flying in before crashing into the armored vehicles, blowing them to pieces one by one. In one of the attacks, a terrified Russian soldier is seen fleeing just before the missile hits its target.

Another video shows the wrecks of several off-road vehicles together, one of which is still in flames.

Another shows a vehicle in the middle of a field being blown to pieces. Debris from the vehicle – including a gun turret – floats into the air as a massive fireball rises hundreds of feet into the air before the parts crash back to Earth.

The images were posted on social media by the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces on Tuesday.

“A total of five enemy tanks and seven BMPs were destroyed in this tough battle,” the brigade said in a statement accompanying the video.

‘Having suffered serious losses in manpower and equipment, the enemy was forced to withdraw. Together to victory! Glory to the Air Raid Forces! Glory to Ukraine!’

While the clips show Kiev troops making gains in the region, Moscow troops today pushed through with their weeks-long drive to encircle Bakhmut, where the commander of Ukrainian ground forces described the situation as “extremely tense.”

Russian troops, including mercenaries from the Wagner Group, are trying to cut the Ukrainian defenders’ supply lines to the city, the scene of some of the bloodiest battles of the war, and force them to surrender or retreat.

That would earn Russia its first major prize in more than half a year and pave the way for the capture of the last remaining urban centers in the Donetsk region, one of four Moscow claims to have annexed in what it calls its “special military operation’. in Ukraine.

“Despite significant losses, the enemy deployed Wagner’s best-prepared assault units, which are trying to break through our troops’ defenses and encircle the city,” Ukrainian Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi said in a statement.

An unnamed soldier from Ukraine’s 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, speaking on the Telegram messaging app as explosions boomed in the background, made a defiant tone: “February 28, the city of Bakhmut. The city is on fire, the enemy is pressing. Everything will be Ukraine…”

Russia’s state news agency RIA has released a video clip showing Russian Su-25 fighter jets over Bakhmut.

“We’re glad they’re ours,” says a man in the clip identified as a Wagner fighter, adding that the jets helped them “psychologically.”

The Ukrainian army said Russia was shelling settlements around Bakhmut, which had a population of some 70,000 before the war but is now in ruins after months of intense warfare.

“In the past day, our soldiers have repelled more than 60 enemy attacks,” the army said early today, including on the villages of Yadhidne and Berkhivka just north of Bakhmut.

A Reuters reporter who visited the area yesterday said he saw no sign of the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops and that reinforcements were arriving despite continued Russian shelling.
