This is the moment when a brave mother led her attacker through her California neighborhood to save her children, after he broke into her house, grabbed a knife and later punctured her 20 times.
Video footage makes Marylou Villalobos Palos, 42, run down the street to lead the intruder away from her daughters Evelyn, 15 and Elizabeth, 13, Tuesday night.

The security images of another house show the woman who runs away from her attacker
One of her teenage daughters, Evelyn described the incident as & # 39; something from a horror movie & # 39 ;. She was in the bathroom and her sister was in her bedroom when she heard glass fall.
I went and I saw blood everywhere and I thought my mother was dead, & she said, adding that she would have taken her mother's place.
The victim is expected to be released from the hospital in the coming weeks and her husband Enrique said doctors told them they were lucky to live.

BMW occupiers stopped the stabbing when they rushed to Mrs. Palos.

Melendrez & # 39; s Lake Forest disaster continued after the carjacking when he collided with two blows and left a woman in her fifties in critical condition.
Then he tried to get into more houses after he had dumped that car in another vehicle.
According to the police, when he was unsuccessful, he stole another engine.
Eventually, a cyclist pepper peppered Melendrez and was quickly arrested.
Police say he was detained just nine minutes after he started the rampage.
Orange County Sheriff & # 39; s Department said before stabbing the woman, Melendrez got into a physical altercation around 5 am near the Salvation Army, when two people chased out of their apartment on Ridge Route Drive.
Witness Kelly Meyer's car was stolen while she and friends tried to fight for the attacker
