Ash Good’s husband was forced to make an unimaginable decision when his wife and baby were rushed to different hospitals following the Bondi Junction stabbing.
Osteopath Good, 38, was shopping with her nine-month-old baby, Harriet, on Saturday afternoon when Joel Cauchi, 40, stabbed them with a 30cm-long hunting knife.
Mrs Good and five other innocent buyers died tragically.
After the stabbing, the mother was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital for surgery while her baby was taken to Randwick Children’s Hospital.
Mrs Good’s husband, Dan Flanagan, was forced to choose which hospital to go to first and was fortunately able to see his wife before she succumbed to her injuries.
Devastated, Mr Flanagan was taken in a police car to see his daughter, whose grandmother was there at his side, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Harriet suffered stab wounds to the stomach and has now been moved out of intensive care.
