Victoria Treasurer Tim Pallas will resign from his position.
Pallas, 64, is expected to make the announcement on Monday, ending 20 years in state parliament.

His resignation will trigger a by-election in the seat of Werribee.
Pallas was first elected in 2006 and took over as treasurer when Daniel Andrews was elected prime minister in 2014.
He is the latest in a long line of Labor MPs to throw in the towel, joining the ranks of former deputy prime minister James Merlino, former health minister Martin Foley and former police minister Lisa Neville.
