Three men – one of whom was wearing an FBI T-shirt – have been arrested following an alleged armed crime spree in Melbourne’s western suburbs on Tuesday morning.

Police said two of them were allegedly armed with a machete when they allegedly robbed two businesses in Werribee, 32km southwest of the Melbourne CBD.

They entered a business in Watton Street, in Worriby shortly after 9 am and allegedly demanded money, which was delivered.

Shortly thereafter, the same perpetrators attended a store on Cottrell Street, and a man allegedly entered the store armed with machetes.

Allegedly, cash and alcohol were stolen.

Three men – one of whom was wearing an FBI shirt (pictured) – have been arrested following an alleged armed crime spree in Melbourne’s western suburbs on Tuesday morning.

They then fled the area in an allegedly stolen gray Hyundai hatchback, which led to police pursuit.

I chased the car through Werribee and stopped on the Princes Freeway near Duncans Road.

The alleged perpetrators then lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole on Ascot Vale Road in Moonee Ponds just before 10:30 am.

Two teenagers and a 20-year-old man were arrested.

One of the alleged perpetrators was taken to hospital and the other two were taken into custody.
