NASCAR driver Joey Gase ripped the bumper off his wrecked car and threw the object at teammate Dawson Crum’s windshield during the ToyotaCare 250 on Saturday.
Gase and Crum were fighting for track position when Crum crashed his car into the bumper of Gase’s vehicle, sending him spinning into the wall and destroying his No. 35 Chevrolet.
Once Gase was out of the vehicle, he ripped off the front bumper of his blue race car and waited for Crum’s No. 4 Chevrolet to circle the Richmond Raceway track again.
Gase walked down the track and approached the line of cars surrounding his accident to aim at Crum’s car and throw the bumper against his front windshield.
The launch did not appear to cause any damage to Crum’s red and white car, but Gase’s road rage attracted considerable interest online.
Gase threw the bumper of his car into the front windshield of Crum’s vehicle after the accident.
Gase was outside the ToyotaCare 250 after the accident, which was caused by Crum’s crash.
While throwing a bumper at an opponent’s car may be new to NASCAR, throwing any object at a rival’s vehicle is not.

Gase will likely hear from NASCAR’s corporate office about the incident, as throwing part of his vehicle at another car is not in the league’s rule book.
