After the race, Vicky was seen lying on the ground and admitted she was “hurt” and “tired” while speaking to Just Giving for a video.

She said: ‘I feel bad, should I feel really good? I feel like I’ve accomplished something. But everything hurts, I’m tired, this year I turn 37, that’s no excuse.’

Elsewhere, Vicky also said she “struggled around mile ten” but the crowd picked her up and helped her cross the finish line.

She said: ‘I’m over it! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. I was struggling around mile ten and the energy from the crowd and your fellow runners is palpable, it’s electric and it gives you the boost you need.

“And I’m not going to lie, I enjoyed the landmarks, Big Ben is one of my favourites, I was in my element!”

London Landmarks Half Marathon race director Lia Fyles said: “Today’s event has been very special on many levels. Not only have we surpassed £50 million raised for charities, which is huge, but this was the largest London Landmarks Half Marathon in our history in terms of runners.

‘The atmosphere has been fantastic as everyone came together and showed how inclusive running can be. We want as many people as possible, regardless of their background or ability, to be able to experience the magic of participating in our very special event.

‘Being able to entertain and give back to the runners as they run the course ensures that this is an unforgettable day for us all. Congratulations to everyone who took part this year and thank you very much – every penny raised will make a real difference to the charities supported.’
