Vicky Pattison took to Instagram on Wednesday to share side-by-side photos of herself wearing a bra and slip.
Vicky, 34, explained to her 4.9 million followers that her post was “not a transformation photo” and explained that she wanted to show how her period changes the appearance of her body.
She wrote: ‘This is not a transformation photo, not a before and after weight loss photo. The only difference? In the photo on the left I had my period and in the photo on the right I did not have my period.’

In addition to her candid post, Vicky also shared a lengthy caption about the importance of awareness: “You are so much more than a dress size or a number on a scale.”
In summary, she wrote: ‘Over the course of our lives, our bodies are going to change.
“Why are we still so cruel to ourselves and our changing bodies?”
She continued: “We need to be more accepting of the ebb and flow of life and the evolution of our bodies.

“We need to stop beating ourselves up for every pound gained or bit of muscle definition lost.”
She candidly added: “As someone who has actively hated my body for years, I know it can be hard to accept your changing body and love the skin you’re in.
“It took me until my thirties to realize there’s so much more to life than having a thigh gap, having a perfectly flat stomach, or having a size 6.
