After the game, the victorious Luque said, “I want to take this time to call Nate Diaz,” he told Joe Rogan. “I’ve called him in the past, but he didn’t respond.

‘I think I’ve had a big win now, that I’ve gotten a great streak and man, my style, it fits perfectly.

“I’m going forward, I’m going to hit everyone in the face and try to get that knockout.”

Diaz, who is best known for submitting Conor McGregor in 2016, hasn’t fought since losing in November 2019 via DCotor hiatus to Jorge Masvidal.

Luque’s win was his third in a row and he has now won nine of his last ten.
