The royal family considers taking action against Meghan Markle because she risks suffering a "major breach of the rules"

The real reason for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s visit to Colombia has been revealed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were warmly welcomed in Colombia by Vice President Francia Marquez, made the trip following the release of their Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan.

In a speech given before his arrival, Vice President Marquez expressed His admiration for the couple, stating: “I learned about their story through Netflix and it moved me. Meghan is a woman who deserves to come to the country and tell her story.”

Marquez highlighted Meghan’s heritage and stressed the importance of her visit. “Last year, we held a meeting on July 25, the day of the African-descended woman. We wanted to invite Meghan, an African-descended woman, to that meeting so she could share her experiences,” Marquez explained. Despite having extended an invitation to Meghan, she was unable to attend at the time, but expressed her strong desire to visit the country in the future.

The Vice President continued“Since then, we have been working for a year to make this visit a reality,” she also reflected on the importance of Prince Harry’s presence in Colombia, noting: “I think the fact that Prince Harry is here today after his mother’s dream of visiting this country is an opportunity to show the best of our nation, to show who we Colombians are.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to California with their son, Prince Archie. In a move that captured global attention, the couple subsequently accused the Royal Family of racism towards their son and shared their grievances in a series of public interviews. Since their departure, they have continued to engage in various humanitarian initiatives, including this recent visit to Colombia, where they were eager to connect with the country and its people.

Their visit not only marks a significant moment for Meghan, given her roots and the ongoing dialogue around racial identity, but also serves as an opportunity for the couple to build bridges and foster understanding across cultures.
