Vernon Kay stunned his BBC Radio 2 co-host Scott Mills after revealing how he met his wife Tess Daly.
During Friday’s show, Vernon, 50, took a trip down memory lane and fondly recalled how he met his beloved wife of 21 years, Tess.
As Britney Spears’ Stronger faded away on the radio, he shared that the pair had starred in a parody video of the pop icon’s hit Baby One More Time for 2000s music show Top of the Pops@play.
“It was Tess Daly from Strictly Come Dancing and I recreated Britney Spears’ ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ video. That’s how we met,” Vernon revealed.

During Friday’s episode, Vernon, 50, took a trip down memory lane and fondly recalled how we met his beloved wife of 21 years, Tess (pictured together in July).
Stunned by the revelation, Scott, who also worked on the show, asked: ‘And for a moment there, did you think it was me instead of your wife?’
“Well, no, I think we’ve talked about it. I think you put it like this: ‘Why don’t you and our new host, Tess Daly, go do this?'” Vernon replied.
Tess, 55, and the presenter have been happily married since 2003 and share two daughters – Phoebe, 19, and Amber, 14.
In July, the pair were spotted enjoying a fun-filled night out alongside Phoebe at the star-studded UK launch of Dr Dre and Snoop’s Gin & Juice at Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace in West London.
The presenter looked to be in high spirits as she cut a sensational figure in a high-necked white mini dress, which showed off her tanned legs.
Tess paired the ensemble with white boots and a multi-print shoulder bag from Fendi, which retails for over £2,000.
Meanwhile, Vernon looked dapper just like his wife and opted for a fitted white sweater, paired with black jeans.
“It was Tess Daly from Strictly Come Dancing and I recreated Britney Spears’ ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ video. That’s how we met,” Vernon revealed.
The radio host also added that he was dressed as Britney Spears in the music video for Hit Me Baby One More Time (pictured), her 1999 debut single from her debut studio album of the same name.

They seemed to be having a blast as they put on a lively show and were all smiling and laughing throughout the night.
