Vernon Kay has admitted that his daughters, Phoebe and Amber, and his wife Tess Daly recently ‘yelled at’ him over a family problem.
The TV presenter, 50, said he even had to apologize for the one-sided affair as he shared a rare insight into his family life.
Speaking to listeners on BBC Radio 2, Vernon explained that when he feels a little unwell, he is “treated like a king”.
But Vernon explained that the royal treatment isn’t really reciprocated when Tess, 55, Phoebe, 19, or Amber, 14, are feeling down.
He said: ‘I have to say that when I’m down, my daughters treat me like a king, they really do.

‘Sometimes they yell at me because it’s not reciprocated, I think that’s the right word.
“You know, I apologize regularly, so yeah, there you go, they really take care of me.”
It comes after Zoe Ball jokingly dubbed Vernon a ‘lucky man’ after he opened up about his morning routine with Tess.
As he passed the baton to Vernon for his mid-morning show, the 53-year-old host was eager to find out what kind of morning person he was.
Vernon revealed that he, Tess and their daughters were early risers and shared why he didn’t need an alarm in the morning.
Vernon revealed: ‘My alarm is set for seven, that’s when we all get up.’
Zoe then asked him if he would jump out of bed immediately, to which he confessed that he needed a push from Tess to get rid of his drowsiness.
Speaking of her humorous scare scenario, she said: “I make Tess Daly from Strictly Come Dancing turn around and say, ‘It’s time to get up,’ with a motion of her elbow: ‘Come on, get up.'”

Laughing, Zoe joked: ‘Oh, you’re a lucky man! Living the Vernon Kay dream, honestly!’
The couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last year and Tess opened up about the secret behind her long-lasting marriage to Vernon.
In an Instagram Q&A, she revealed: “We still sit down to dinner and have a lot to talk about, we still laugh a lot.”
“I see that when his name comes up on his phone, I say ‘yes.'”
She also praised her husband’s fun attitude: “We laugh a lot, he is always playing, dancing and singing in the kitchen.” (There is never) a dull moment.’
During a show earlier this month, Vernon took a trip down memory lane and fondly recalled how we met his beloved wife of 21 years, Tess.
As Britney Spears’ Stronger faded on the radio, she shared that the pair had starred in a fake video of the pop icon’s hit Baby One More Time for the 2000s music show Top of the Pops@play.
“It was Tess Daly from Strictly Come Dancing and I, we recreated the video for Britney Spears’ ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’.” “That’s how we met,” Vernon revealed.

Vernon revealed that he and Tess met when they both starred in a fake video for Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time for the 2000s music show Top of the Pops@play (pictured in May).
The radio host also added that he was dressed as Britney Spears in the music video for Hit Me Baby One More Time (pictured), her 1999 debut single from her debut studio album of the same name.

Tess and the presenter have been happily married since 2003.
