Vauxhall is offering a year of free electric vehicle charging credit in Tesco stores to buyers of its new electric vehicles.

The carmaker says its partnership with supermarkets, which uses PodPoint chargers, will give drivers access to charging points in 619 stores.

It comes as part of Vauxhall’s innovative ‘Electric Streets of Britain’ initiative (electricstreets.co.uk).

This is designed to increase accessible charging to support the 40 per cent of UK homes that do not have a driveway, as the slow rollout of charging points is seen as a brake on sales.
