Vanessa went on to reveal that a reunion could come sooner than fans expect, as she reached out to her former co-stars to invite them to her opening night of Devil Wears Prada in the West End later this year.

She continued: “I talk to the girls, I actually talked to Teri Hatcher last week and I invited her to the opening on December 1st, she’s not available but we’ll see if any of the other girls show up.”

Desperate Housewives ran for an incredible eight series since 2004 and followed the close-knit group of women who resided on Wisteria Lane. The series came to an end in 2012.

Vanessa is currently preparing to step into fashion diva Miranda Priestly’s stilettos in the upcoming West End production of The Devil Wears Prada.

The Tony-nominated actress said she is “excited” to take on the role having made her West End debut for a brief stint in City Of Angles before it closed during the Coronavirus lockdown in 2020.

The legendary role is based on the 2006 film starring Meryl Streep as Miranda, as well as Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.

She told MailOnline: ‘Honestly, performing in London. I made City Of Angels in 2020 and we did the previews and Covid shut down the world. I thought, “Just kidding, my West End debut is scuttled,” so when I heard we were doing it here, I jumped at the chance.

‘I’m also excited to be part of the community here. Becoming Miranda Priestly is a dream. She is powerful, intense, commands the stage and it is wonderful to play such an iconic role and I am so happy to put on those red stilettos.
