She said she “wouldn’t sign the rights” to be filmed believing the show wouldn’t air without them.
‘At (that) time, they had already shot a lot. They couldn’t launch the program without my signature and I honestly thought (because I was naive) that this would never see the light of day. That’s what I thought.’

Without help from parents, financially. Working endless jobs and auditioning and doing tests. Completely exhausted,’ he said.
‘So I signed it so I could get $500 to pay the rest of that month’s rent. And that’s what I got from the program.
He said he has not received any additional payments despite the success of the program.
‘There is no waste. Nothing. And I had to go after them to get that $500. The entire cast was paid, I think it was $8,000 for the first season. Jax and everyone else got like $8,000. The only reason I know is because that’s all the money Jax had to his name. And I said, “Well, if they get money, why can’t I get money?”
“They said, ‘Okay, we’ll give you $500.’
In the first season, the love triangle finally ended when Taylor broke up with Laura-Leigh after he accompanied her to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
