The TV star was at a book event in San Diego while promoting her latest cookbook titled Indulge, which was written after her divorce from her second husband, Tom Vitale.
Bertinelli documented the trip on his Insta Stories.
“I’m currently in heavy traffic,” the 63-year-old woman began in a video while in the driver’s seat of her car on Tuesday.
‘I’m driving to San Diego for an event this afternoon at 7pm, right now my GPS says I’ll be there at 6:27pm Hmmm, fingers crossed I’ll be on time.’

This occurs after she has lost weight after skipping the cocktails.
The author, who lost 10 pounds after giving up alcohol last year, doesn’t think it’s difficult to give up wine.
“I’m actually surprised at how hard it isn’t,” she told People. ‘Because for a long time I leaned on it. Right now, I love how I feel more than how alcohol makes me feel. I discovered that I hum naturally when I’m happy.’
She’s got a lot to be happy about these days, like her new East Coast writer boyfriend, who’s 10 years her junior, and her latest cookbook. “I don’t need anything to amplify my happiness right now,” Bertinelli shared, so there’s no need to order a Chardonnay.
‘I feel excited about life. I recently went out to dinner with a friend and had ginger ale in a wine glass. And I felt like I was celebrating,” he noted.

Valerie first thought about skipping sangria when she was writing her memoir, Enough is Enough.
“I was still going through a lot of bad things and I knew I wanted to be on the path of intentionally finding my core happiness,” she told the site.
It wasn’t easy at that time.
Eddie Van Halen died in 2020 and separated from her second husband, Tom Vitale, in 2022.
She realized that alcohol made her feel bad.

“I would go out and have fun, drink and the next day I would be very sad,” he revealed. “Because there was a lot of sadness in my life and alcohol amplified it.”

‘I fell in love when I least expected it!’ the brunette beauty revealed to the magazine.
“I’m in love,” Bertinelli added. ‘It’s a seesaw of emotions because I was convinced that I would never fall in love again.
“I was supposed to die with my six cats and my dog and live very happily alone for the rest of my years; I’m fine on my own,” she said.
‘My belly is spinning. This didn’t have to happen.’
She then shared: ‘It’s crazy the comfort level. She feels incredibly good.’
Valerie added that she has been working on herself with therapy and long walks with her dog.
And her new book Indulge pushed her to be more open. “The cookbook was an outgrowth of the emotional and mental healing I’ve been doing,” she said.
‘First came work. Why I thought he didn’t deserve to be loved. Why was I using food to numb my feelings. All the drama and trauma I hadn’t dealt with…with Ed and my last marriage.
Ed is Eddie Van Halen, her first husband who died. And her last marriage was to Tom Vitale.
