Disturbing details have been revealed about a transgender woman named Mia who is accused of killing her parents.
Collin Troy Bailey, 28, who goes by the name Mia, was filmed being taken away by seven armed officers in the city of Washington on Wednesday afternoon after her mother Gail, 69, and father Joseph, 70 , were found dead in their nearby house.
Police have now claimed that after an initial attack, she returned to the scene to shoot them several times “to make sure they were dead”.
In a shocking outburst, Bailey told police he had “no remorse for his actions and would not change what he had done.”
‘I would do it again. “I hate them,” she said, according to the affidavit seen by KSL.
Alleged Utah transgender killer Collin Troy Bailey, 28, who goes by the name Mia, was arrested following the murder of his parents Gail, 69, and Joseph Bailey, 70.
Bailey has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder, one count of attempted aggravated murder, one count of aggravated robbery and one count of third-degree felony discharge of a firearm.
“Mia told officers she went to the residence with the intention of killing her parents” and was seen entering the home on surveillance footage, it states.
Several shell casings were found on the first floor of the home, near the stairs and also in the front room.
Arrest documents say Bailey admitted to entering the home and shooting his mother almost immediately.
The body of Gail Bailey, 69, was found on the first floor, while her husband’s body was found in the hallway leading to the master bedroom.
Washington City Police say Bailey’s father, Joseph, 70, was shot twice while his mother was shot four times.
‘Upon entering the house, he almost immediately began shooting at his mother. Mía stated that her father…heard the shots and began walking towards her. “Mia stated that she shot her father in the head and that he immediately fell to the ground,” the affidavit alleges.
A SWAT team from the city of Washington, Utah, detained Bailey on Wednesday afternoon.
Police arrested her after a 16-hour search.
Bailey is in the process of transitioning from male to female, with no motive given for his alleged crimes.
After firing the initial shots, police say, he returned upstairs and fired one more time.
‘Mia described returning to her father who was lying on the ground and shooting him once more in the head to make sure he was dead. While doing that, Mia…walked up to her mother and shot her in the head to make sure she was dead,” police detailed in the affidavit.
After allegedly killing his parents, Bailey shot through the bedroom door where his brother and his wife had locked themselves in.
The couple heard a gunshot just as they were trying to escape through a ground-floor window.
“Mia stated that her brother was not her primary target, but that she would not have been sad if the shot had killed him,” the police affidavit states.
When officers arrived at the home, they found the door ajar.
An all-night search was launched to capture Bailey, involving officers from the Washington Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Department of Public Safety.
Helicopters were used in the search for her before she was eventually found walking in a nearby ravine. She attempted to evade capture by hiding in the undergrowth.
‘Officers were on scene and observed Mia walking north toward the Painted Desert subdivision through the wash. Mia was given orders to stop, she pulled a gun from her waistband and put it to her head, as she continued to walk away from the officers, ignoring her orders. “The officers lost sight of Mia when she wandered into the thick brush of the ravine/wash,” the arrest report states.
Police said they were called after reports of shots fired at the home, and upon entering found the couple dead, confirming they died from gunshot wounds.
Bailey fled the scene of the murders in this bright yellow Kia Soul.

His arrest ended a 16-hour search after officers were called to reports of shots fired at the family home, where officers found his parents slaughtered.
‘Mia describes jumping over fences or walls, hiding in bushes, sleeping in a park bathroom, and other efforts to elude authorities. “Mia bragged about her ability to avoid law enforcement efforts to locate her, including evading officers, hiding from helicopters and drones,” police wrote in her affidavit.
Officers had warned that Bailey was considered armed and dangerous after she was seen fleeing the scene in a yellow 2014 Kia Sol.
