The weeks are numbered as we approach training camp in mid-September.
However, the wait continues for the possible permanent name of the Utah Hockey Club.
As announced on June 13, the club will have Utah HC as a temporary name through at least the 2024-25 season.

The club released an initial list of 20 names on May 8, and fans will be able to vote for the finalists from among those names.
That list was further narrowed to six names on June 6 when speculation began to circulate that the name could be announced at the Upper Deck NHL Draft in Las Vegas, which did not occur.
The second round of voting closed on June 20, and the club has not made any updates since then.

Of course, that didn’t stop people from speculating about what the mascot could be (anyone remember the Yeti?).

But as the calendar turns and the offseason comes to a close, fans are once again left waiting for any news on the team name.
