The U.S. Men’s National Team came into their Olympic quarterfinal match against Morocco as underdogs after their win over Guinea helped them secure a spot in the knockout round. However, Morocco proved to be too much for the U.S. Men’s Under-23 team. Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerreros discuss the U.S. Men’s National Team’s 4-0 loss that led to their elimination from the Olympic tournament. While there were some positives to take from their participation in the 2024 games, the disappointing final result leads the boys to discuss what the team might need in their next tournament to hopefully return home with a medal.

Also in this episode of The CooligansThe guys discuss the U.S. women’s team’s win over Japan that put them in a semifinal with the German women’s team, ask why Emma Hayes took so long to make substitutions in her final game, and recap all the other notable action from Olympic soccer’s quarterfinals.

Christian and Alexis meet up in the studio with Hugo Larsson, midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt and the Swedish national team. The 20-year-old talks about his leadership at his clubs despite his age, how he hopes to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo’s style of play and how he is mentally preparing for the upcoming Bundesliga season.
