R&B star Usher finally made it to a Las Vegas Aces game on Tuesday night, two years after A’ja Wilson hilariously urged him to attend the team’s championship parade.
Wilson and the world-famous singer hugged after the game, and the two-time MVP presented him with her jersey.
“Dreams come true,” he said. WNBA X account he captioned a clip of the interaction.
In 2022, after the Aces won the WNBA championship, Wilson insisted that Usher attend the title celebrations.
“Usher, we better meet up, Usher,” he said at the post-match press conference. “I’m not going to play you.”
A’ja Wilson was all smiles, despite her team losing, as she posed with Usher after the game.
The singer was all smiles as he sat courtside at the Michelob ULTRA Arena on Tuesday.
The now 45-year-old was unable to attend the 2022 parade (or the 2023 one after the Aces repeated as champions), but the Las Vegas resident later invited the team to one of his concerts.
Wilson and her teammates accepted her offer and she was… Usher Serenade on stage in October 2023.
After watching the Aces take on the Chicago Sky, Usher also posed with Sydney Colson and Jackie Young.
Colson, Young and Wilson smiled alongside the singer despite their team losing 93-85 to the Sky.

Wilson played very well in the game they lost, as he scored 28 points and 14 rebounds.
Tiffany Hayes also added 19 for Vegas while Young had 17.
However, Chennedy Carter put on an absolute show for the Sky by scoring 34 points in the win.
Rookie Angel Reese, a double-double machine, also added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Sky, while Marina Mabrey scored 15.
