Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has submitted only one application before his arrival in Australia on Saturday.

The 31-year-old is preparing for a six-week test with the Central Coast Mariners and hopes to get a contract for the 2018/2019 season.

Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp said he recently received a demand from the world record holder: a black rental car.

"There is only one," laughed Mr. Mielekamp as he spoke at a press conference on Wednesday.

"The only thing we have been really firm about is that Usain, while looking for a contract, will be treated like any other player," said Central Coast Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp.

"There are other clubs that offered millions more than they could win in a contract with us, they come here for the right reasons.

The Mariners have recruited estate developer millionaire Tony Denny, who resides on the central coast, to help with Bolt's housing, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Denny owns several isolated rental properties on the coast that would be suitable for Bolt to remain.

It is a movement that would change the shape of the Mariners, as well as the contentious competition of the A-League.

Since its inception in 2004, the competition has struggled, and had problems, to develop an international position.

The signing of Usain Bolt would overcome the exaggeration that surrounded Alessandro Del Piero when he joined Sydney FC in 2012.

The news comes after Mike Phelan, a former Manchester United coach, was named Mariner's sporting director.

It is understood that Phelan, who worked closely with Sir Alex Ferguson for more than 19 years, would be very involved in Bolt's trial and in the potential season.

Bolt retired from the races last year after consolidating himself as the fastest man in the world with eleven world titles.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist had grown up playing soccer and cricket before focusing on his athletic career.

This would not be the first time that Bolt points to a professional career in football, as he has tested at Borussia Dortmund in March and Stromsgodset last month.

The German and Norwegian teams, respectively, did not offer Bolt a contract.

& # 39; I want to try to improve, work as much as I can, play as much as I can. Maybe a club will see something and decide to give me a chance, "Bolt said.

It is understood that the sports agent Tony Rallis had other clubs interested in supplying Bolt for a trial, but the Mariners proved to be the most organized and serious in their negotiations.

"We are all interested parties in the game and there is no doubt that the A-League is stalling," said Rallis.

"After the season we had, we need a firm with benefits for the entire competition."

Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp said the club conducted an adequate investigation before organizing the trial.

Mielekamp said they received good comments from Germany and Norway, who said Bolt was a good student and showed improvements in each session.

"This is a very real football opportunity, this is not a trick or trick, we want to know if Usain can play, if we can, let's light up the A-League and bring one of the biggest athletes of the sport to the Central Coast", He said.
