Usain Bolt announces he will release his debut album next week as he returns to the spotlight after the birth of his daughter Olympia

He recently became a father for the first time in June, when his partner Kasi Bennett gave birth to a daughter named Olympia Lightning.

And Usain Bolt has announced that he will be releasing his debut album next week, after a four-year retirement of gigs and brand recommendations.

The Jamaican sprinter, 35, will distribute his highly anticipated Country Yutes LP through his own label, 9.58 Records, where he has already released singles like It’s A Party and It A Work.

Last week on Instagram, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist shared the artwork for his masterpiece.

It sees the man of many talents hanging out in his home studio with his manager and childhood friend Nugent ‘NJ’ Walker.

Wearing a dazzling pink and black striped tee and matching shorts, Usain’s impressive study overlooks an exotic pool, complete with inflatables and overhanging palm trees.

“Knowing the whole pandemic, we try not to rush anything, we take our time to make sure the music comes out at the right time,” began the world’s fastest runner.

“We also have an EP that we’re working on, so it should be something interesting. We’re just trying to get a foothold, trying to make people understand that we’re not just joking here.

“We’re serious about the music, so we just take our time. Just like in athletics, it’s all about work and effort and just taking your time,” he concluded.

It comes after Usain’s partner Kasi Bennett, 31, gave birth to the athlete’s first child, a daughter named Olympia Lightning, on June 14.

The proud dad took to Twitter shortly after to wish his beau a happy birthday as they embark on a new chapter of their lives together.

Usain uploaded a series of photos of Kasi draped in a flowing ball gown rocking their little girl.

He wrote: ‘I want to wish my friend @kasi__b a happy birthday. I get to spend your special day with you. I want nothing but happiness for you and will continue to do my best to keep a smile on your face.

We have started a new chapter together with our daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt [sic].’
