CHICAGO — The United States and Mexico will play a friendly match on April 19 in Glendale, Arizona, outside of the international calendar.
Being outside the FIFA dates, it is taken for granted that both teams will not be able to call up the majority of their players who play for clubs in Europe.
Both teams will have their best chips for a doubleheader of the CONCACAF Nations League. Mexico will visit Suriname on March 23 and receive Jamaica three days later. The United States will travel to Grenada on March 24 and receive El Salvador three days later in Orlando, Florida.

In the announcement released Tuesday, the US Soccer Federation notes that the clash with Mexico marks the start of a series called the “Continental Classic,” in which the United States will host rivals from North, Central, or South America.
The United States, Mexico and Canada will share the venue for the 2026 World Cup.
