Two 20-year-olds are being investigated after they allegedly gave an American student “rape drugs” before she was gang-raped on an Italian beach.
The 19-year-old American citizen claims the attack occurred during a party at the Punta Marina resort near the northern Italian city of Ravenna on the night of August 25.
It is understood the investigation is now focusing on two 20-year-olds as Italian authorities try to determine whether a drug was used to rape the woman.

She then visited a nearby hospital where she was examined before immediately returning to the United States.

The young woman is protected by lawyer Angelo Stirone. The investigations are coordinated by prosecutor Lucrezia Ciriello.
Meanwhile, two suspects are defended by lawyers Giovanni Scudellari and Maria Teresa Rizzo.
It was previously reported that CCTV footage of clubs at the spa will be examined for evidence.
