The unnamed embassy employee was found in a room at the Hilton Hotel in kyiv on Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports.
According to the US embassy, the man, who arrived in Ukraine on June 15, suffered from high cholesterol.
No sounds of foul play were found at the scene.
