The US DOJ secretly seized Apple data from US Representative Schiff and US House Intel Committee aides and relatives after a subpoena amid Donald Trump’s obsession over leaks

Justice Department prosecutors seized Apple metadata records for accounts belonging to Rep. Adam Schiff and other members of the House Intelligence Committee with secret subpoenas, it has been reported.

Prosecutors investigating leaks of classified information from the early Trump administration sued Apple and seized the data of at least a dozen people associated with the commission in 2017 and early 2018, officials said. The New York Times.

The seized data ultimately did not connect members of the House Intelligence Committee to leaks to the press about contacts between Donald Trump associates and Russia, the outlet reported.

The investigators, who worked under then Attorney General Jeff Sessions, discussed whether the Justice Department should end its investigation into the leaks of the classified information to the press.
