Uruguay will be disappointed that they were unable to find a way past a resolute South Korea after hitting the post twice.
Uruguay and South Korea kicked off their World Cup campaign with a hard-fought draw, in a high-paced game that ultimately lacked the killer ending.
Both sets of fans cheered for their teams during the goalless but entertaining event at Doha’s Education City Stadium on Wednesday.
Uruguay came closest when Diego Godín hit the post with a header in the first half. Federico Valverde hit the post again on 89′ with a long shot.
South Korea also created several half-hearted chances, but they will be disappointed that they missed out on some exciting counterattacks.
