The market withdrawal is for fully cooked chicken breast sold by the Wegmans groceries as part of its own brand range

An urgent warning on chicken nuggets sold throughout the country has been issued to possibly contain bone fragments.

The withdrawal is for family packages of 46 oz of completely cooked chicken breast sold by the Wegmans groceries as part of its own range of brands.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warns that the product of $ 10.99 should not be consumed.

The problem was notified after Wegmans received ‘multiple’ complaints from consumers of bone fragments in their food.

While small pieces of chicken bone can pass through the gastrointestinal tract without complications, large or irregular fragments can lead to a series of problems.

These complications may include suffocation, throat lacerations, ulceration, holes in the digestive tract or even death.

It is not clear how great the bone fragments are in Wegmans’s nuggets.

To date, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries linked to the popular snack.

Although the product is no longer stored in Wegmans, the Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned that consumers can still have some of the pickles of pepitators in their freezers.

Consumers are urged to still have product bags committed not to eat the product.

They are advised to throw it or return to the store where it was bought.

Wegmans said all packages can be returned for full refund.

Customers can communicate with Wegmans at 1-855-934-3663 from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm or Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
