A young Australian tourist has been missing in Bali for more than two weeks, prompting an urgent search.

Jackson Parker, 22, from south-east Queensland, was last heard from on November 8. He has not updated his social networks either.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) said Parker boarded a flight to Bali on October 30.

“We are trying to find a missing Australian (our son) and we hope that some of you can share this message and information with anyone in Bali in the tourism industry, hotels, bars, hostels, tour operators, authorities and anyone you know “, said. Father Roly Parker posted on the Bali expat Facebook group.

‘Jackson Parker has been missing since November 8 and his family is desperate to find him.

‘The authorities have been alerted, but it is important to spread their information.

‘It’s extremely out of character for him to not be in touch.

Parker’s visa entry said he had a reservation to stay at Premium Villas Seminyak in Denpasar, the island’s capital, but he did not check into the accommodation and has not been heard from since.

Jackson is 178cm tall, has light brown to blonde hair, blue eyes and a medium build.

Commenters on the post shared their support for the family.

“It’s so sad that you’re hearing from him so soon,” one person said.

“Is there any chance he went to an island somewhere where there are a lot of younger guys and girls camping and enjoying life with literally zero phone reception?” another suggested.

“I sincerely hope that he returns home safely as soon as possible.”

‘All the best. I can only imagine how difficult it is for you and your family right now. God bless you, said a third.

Jackon’s father said he was in the process of traveling to Bali to help in the search himself.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted him for further comment.
