The affected products were manufactured on March 23, 2024. The following are subject to recall:

22 oz (1.38 lb) vacuum sealed plastic packages containing ‘PERDUE Simply Smart ORGANICS Breaded CHICKEN BREAST NUGGETS’ with expiration date ’03 23 25′ depicted on the back of the package.

29 oz (1.81 lb) vacuum sealed plastic packages containing ‘PERDUE CHICKEN BREAST TENDERS’ with expiration date ’03 23 25′ depicted on the back of the package.

22oz (1.38lb) vacuum sealed packages containing ‘BUTCHERBOX Organic Chicken Breast Nuggets’ with expiration date ’03 23 25′ depicted on the back of the package.

Each of them has the number “P-33944” on the back of the package. Consumers may have purchased them in supermarkets or online.

“We determined the material was a very thin strand of metal wire that was inadvertently introduced into the manufacturing process,” Jeff Shaw, Perdue’s senior vice president of food safety and quality, said in a news release.

‘Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to voluntarily recall all of these product packages.’

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions from anyone who has eaten the nuggets or tenders.
