Detectives are treating the death of a woman killed in a lawnmower tragedy as suspicious after it emerged there was a history of domestic violence at the address.
The lawnmower reportedly overturned at around 3am on Tuesday, crushing the woman underneath, at the property on Thomas Road in Upper Lockyer, near Toowoomba in south-east Queensland.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but the victim, aged in his 40s, died from his injuries.
Detectives spent Tuesday gathering evidence from the home, which was declared a crime scene. Toowoomba Chronicle reports.
Domestic violence orders were reported to be in place between the occupants of the rural property.
Detectives have been interviewing local residents and collecting CCTV footage as part of the investigation.
The police will prepare a report for the coroner.
