One of the NBA’s biggest stars is unrecognizable as he poses during a bizarre underwater workout in Bahrain.

The superstar is shirtless, lifting heavy weights in the deep pool and wearing oversized goggles on his face.

In one workout, he is seen underwater from the neck down, while holding a pair of 60-pound dumbbells. In another, the NBA veteran does an underwater handstand with 40-pound weights holding him below the surface.

He has several other photos in the water, including a photo of him posing dribbling a basketball with his left hand and holding a 40-pound weight in his right.

The shirtless NBA man underwater is none other than Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown.

Brown was seen as one of the biggest omissions from the U.S. Olympic basketball team.

Brown posted the photos on Instagram showing him in a pool in Bahrain’s largest city and capital, Manama.

Several weeks ago, Brown was instrumental in the Celtics winning their first NBA championship since 2008.

Brown was seen as one of the biggest omissions from the Olympic gold medal-winning U.S. team, with teammates Jayson Tatum and Derrick White getting the nod from head coach Steve Kerr.

With LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and more likely having played in their final Olympics, a spot has seemingly opened up for Brown for when the Olympics are held in Los Angeles in 2028.

Brown managed to make her international trip even though Paris wasn’t in the cards with her underwater escapades in Berlin.

Even with his underwater training, Brown would likely only compete in basketball at the next Olympics.
