United Health CEO Brian Thompson was shot dead outside the Hilton Hotel in Manhattan on Wednesday.

The shooting happened around 6:45 a.m. in Midtown, just hours before New Yorkers gather nearby for the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting.

Thompson, 50, was fatally shot in the chest by a masked man, who then fled down 6th Avenue and is wanted by police, sources told police. New York Post.
