It comes after a body was found in the wheel of a United plane after it landed at Maui airport in Hawaii on Christmas Eve.
UA Flight 202 departed Chicago at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday and arrived in Maui at 2 p.m. local time.
The body was found in the wheel well of the Boeing 787-10, an area that could only be accessed from outside the aircraft.
It falls during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year, as millions of people flee during the holidays.
The Transportation Security Administration expects to screen 40 million passengers through January 2. Airlines expect their busiest days to be on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
