A woman’s nervous breakdown during a flight, which resulted in her biting a piece of fabric from a flight attendant’s shirt, was triggered by a minor fight in the bathroom.
The woman was on United Airlines Flight 762 from Miami to Newark but had barely made it off the runway Tuesday night when she became irate.
It took three flight attendants, along with burly passengers, to hold her down with zip ties until the flight could divert to Orlando.
The staff went to great lengths to stop the woman from rampaging, seating “the largest bodies” on the plane next to her until police could take her away.

A man who said he was also a passenger on the flight said the crisis began simply because the woman was prevented from accessing the plane’s bathroom.
“She apparently verbally and then physically attacked a family at the back of the plane after failing to go to the toilet at one point,” he told DailyMail.com.
‘The kids were screaming, but not as loud as she was… I remember when I used to act like that when I was two or three and they wouldn’t give me ice cream.’
The passenger said staff escorted her to a different seat in the middle of the plane as she screamed and swore at everyone on board.
However, separating her from her family did not end the embarrassing episode, as she threw punches and spat at staff and other passengers who tried to help.
‘Eventually, she got physical with a flight attendant and started attacking him, then the attendant in white grabbed onto her trying to stop her,’ the man said.
‘After things got out of control, it was decided to handcuff her after she threatened the plane, as all the flight attendants on board had to get involved.
Suddenly, he bit into one of his shoulders, tearing off a piece of cloth and letting it float to the ground in front of the shocked plane.
‘She resists the handcuffs while biting, spitting and kicking this man, so others and even passengers have to intervene to help.
‘A passenger who stood up to help was spat in the face several times by this woman while threatening her.’
The fellow passenger said staff found “the largest bodies on the plane” and put them next to the woman so she would be trapped in her row of seats until the flight landed.

“These people have an attitude problem and they’re not doing their job, dammit. They’re handcuffing me. Why are you handcuffing me?” he shouted.

A passenger told her to stop shouting and she said: “Go back to Russia, old lady,” then uttered a series of expletives and said: “I’m going to kill you, bitch.”
The plane’s audio captured the woman screaming: “You are a disgrace, you piece of shit, I wish I could spit on you right now.”
“Don’t do that, don’t do that,” a flight attendant warned. “You’re insulting everyone on this plane.”
Everyone cheered when she was finally kicked off the plane after the flight landed in Orlando, where it was delayed three and a half hours.

“The plane is here in Orlando and the crew will not be continuing (to Newark) due to what happened between here and Miami,” the staff announced.

The Orlando Police Department said the woman was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and no arrests have yet been made.
The woman’s identity and the cause of her seizure are still unknown.
