The uncle of a teenager allegedly stabbed to death while trying to get a ride home has criticized his accused killer online.
The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was camping with friends in Wilton, south-west of Sydney, on Friday night when he was allegedly stabbed by Jacob Greig, 32.
Police will allege that the boy, who was looking for a ride home, tried to open Greig’s car door, and the professional chef became outraged and slashed the teenager with a knife before driving away.
The 15-year-old’s body was found in bushland near Wilton Park Road on Saturday morning, and Greig was arrested shortly after turning up at Narellan police station.
The teenager’s uncle has since lashed out at Greig with angry online posts, threatening to tell his fellow inmates about the allegations the 32-year-old faces.
“I was 15 years old. (Supposedly) I just wanted to come home,” the uncle wrote on Sunday.
“Wait until I tell my colleagues inside.”
Meanwhile, other family members have broken their silence as the Picton community mourns the teenager, who has been remembered as “selfless” and “loyal”.

On Instagram, her younger sister wrote: ‘I love you (name redacted).
‘I’ll miss you so much, big brother.
“Stay safe up there.”
Greig, accused of murder, is a professional chef who uses the nickname ‘Harry Potter’ on social media.
In his biography, he describes himself as a “professional pyromaniac.”
Greig faced Parramatta Local Court on Sunday via live video stream, with three members of his family present in person.
The court was told the 15-year-old had attempted to open the rear passenger door of a vehicle Greig was in, and video and audio of the incident captured the teenager saying: “I’m trying to get home.”
At some point, Greig exited the vehicle and magistrate Robert Rabbidge said the footage had allegedly captured Greig saying: “I’ll get you good.”
He then allegedly said: “I’m going to cut off your f***ing hand,” the court was told.
Greig allegedly told police he “cut the victim before returning to the vehicle,” Rabbidge said.
However, the court was told the footage allegedly showed Greig chasing the victim on foot.
“The facts indicate that prior to the injury… the accused had threatened to kill the young man and cut off his hand,” Mr Rabbidge said.
The teenager’s body was found in bushland near Wilton Park Road in Wilton (pictured), south-west of Sydney on Saturday.
Police are shown talking to people at the campground Saturday as they investigated the incident.
He said the boy was “bleeding profusely” after he was allegedly cut with the knife.
“It seems like a very strong case, I recognize that after having cut the young man with the knife causing the victim to suffer… a severe laceration to the right forearm… the victim begins to bleed profusely,” the magistrate said.
The boy allegedly tried to jump on the car as it was driving away, and his friends found him dead the next morning.
The court was told a trail of blood was found extending about 30 meters towards the end of Wilton Rd.
“Much would depend on the autopsy, which has not yet been performed, but I take note of the facts where it says that at 7:30 the next morning the victim’s friends walked out of the field… they found the (alleged) victim covered in blood,” said Mr Rabbidge.
He said there is “nothing more serious than the alleged murder of a 15-year-old boy.”
“The facts are quite extraordinary and appear to show a considerable amount of powerful evidence,” he added.
“This is clearly an extraordinary case… Mr. Greig faces many decades in prison,” the magistrate said of the allegations, if proven.
“I must do my duty to the community and deny him bail.”
Police prosecutor McCormack said a blood-stained knife was found in a bin.

“I know that the (alleged) victim… was covered in a significant amount of blood in a grassy area,” McCormack told the court, with a blood trail “extending possibly 30 meters down the road… to the end.” from Wilton Park.
Greig’s aunt and two other family members appeared distraught during the proceedings, and the aunt broke down crying just outside the courtroom.
Defense lawyer Javid Faiz proposed a condition of house arrest, noting that the circumstances are “tragic.”
Greig’s partner is expected to give birth to their son in a month, and his partner suffers from health problems including autism and panic disorder.
Greig works as a chef at Bargo Sports Bar while his partner is unemployed.
Greig was denied bail and his next appearance at Campbelltown Local Court on January 8, 2025.
Superintendent Tim Calaman told reporters Saturday that a group of about 12 teenagers had been camping in the area overnight.
None are accused of any crime.
Police believe the incident occurred on Friday night, but were not notified until 7.35am the following day.
Emotional tributes to the young man have been posted online, and one friend said he had the “the purest heart and the kindest soul.”
“Last night the sky got (name redacted)’s precious wings,” the friend wrote.
‘At the same time, we lost the most loving and selfless child there is.
‘To my dearest friend, you made the world a better place. Nothing could prepare me for this heartbreaking event. I will always miss your presence and your sense of humor.
“Rest easy, sweet boy.”
Tributes have poured in for the young man online as the community mourns the loss.
Another family member is seen leaving court after appearing to support Greig.
Another friend said the boy would “keep forever” the memories they shared with him.
“We will miss you forever,” they continued.
‘Be ambitious.’
Police are asking anyone with knowledge of the incident or dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward, as well as anyone who may have been in the area since 6pm on Friday.
