An unborn baby has tragically died after his mother was involved in a car crash in Queensland.
A Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota HiLux were traveling in opposite directions on Ipswich Boonah Rd in Purga, southwest of Brisbane, when they collided about 5.45pm on Thursday.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and three people in one car and three in the other were taken to hospital.
Among them was a 25-year-old woman who was traveling in the HiLux and who was rushed to Ipswich Hospital with serious injuries.
Her unborn baby died as a result of those injuries, police said.
The Forensic Accident Unit is investigating.
Anyone with dash cam footage or information related to the crash is asked to contact police.
