Pictures of the couple leaving Jessie and Nate's house show the elated duo happy as can be after being asked

Heartbreaking doorbell footage showed an excited family preparing for the arrival of a new baby – only to return home distraught with an urn of ashes following his stillbirth.

A couple who identified themselves as Jessie and Nate, 32, decided to share the distressing clips on Tiktok after asking Jessie’s sister and brother-in-law to be godparents to their unborn son, whom they named Matthew.

Clearly touched by the request, Jessie’s brother-in-law can be heard saying, “It sure was good vibes inside,” as he points to a doormat that read “Good vibes.”

The couple, from Naples, Florida, were admitted to the hospital just before Christmas. Tragically, their long-awaited son was stillborn on December 25.

Later footage filmed on the same doorbell camera shows the grieving family carrying Matthew’s ashes home in an urn after the baby was cremated.

Just a few weeks later, the same happy couple can be seen carrying the urn containing Matthew's remains back into the house.

Despite the magnitude of the tragedy they faced, Jessie says she still enjoys seeing the anticipation of her loved ones upon receiving the invitation to be Matthew’s godparents.

Jessie shared the two clips on her TikTok page and wrote in her post: “Thanks Ring. We watch this video often.

“We are very grateful to be able to capture these moments. I hope one day I can capture some happy moments as well.”

Talking with Week of newsJessie said her water broke on Christmas Eve and what should have been the happiest day of her life turned into a nightmare.

Hospital staff were unable to find her baby’s heartbeat and an ultrasound confirmed he had died.

She told the outlet: “Our world was shattered as we dealt with the unimaginable loss, even as I continued to work.”

A day later, Matthew was born on Christmas morning, and Nate added: ‘He was perfect in every physical way. 10 fingers, 10 toes and a full head of thick, curly brown hair.

‘His 9-pound, 5-ounce frame and 22.5-inch length embodied his robust presence, (but) despite his perfection, he did not breathe.’

The couple spent the day enjoying time with their baby as family members gathered around the couple, singing and kissing their child.

Jessie added: “We sang to him, hugged him and kissed his little fingers and forehead. Nate and I prayed for him one last time before saying our final goodbyes as he was being prepared for the funeral.”

She said the hardest moment was watching the nurse cover his crib with a white sheet and take him away.

The video they shared on their shared TikTok page has since been viewed over 4 million times.

Users commenting on the video also noticed that the doormat that said ‘Good Vibrations’ had been removed in the second clip.

Responding to a commenter, Jessie replied: ‘That was the first thing I asked my husband to throw away when we got home.’

One person said: “The loss of the mat hit me in the gut. I’m so sorry for this huge loss, Mom. I’m praying for your healing.”

Another added: “Matty will be forever missed, the way everyone loved him was endless. I’m so sorry for the loss of your baby.”

Jessie also told the outlet that after returning home, her closest friends and family were supportive of the couple.

She said: ‘We held a moving memorial service attended by almost 300 people, and Matthew’s godparents were responsible for taking him home in his sweet little urn after the service.’

Following the tragic death of their baby, the couple has created Matty’s Corner, an in-person support group for stillbirths.

Nate said the group helps “offer comfort to parents who have experienced the profound loss of a child.”
