Suspicion is a fast-paced thriller about the kidnapping of the son of a prominent American businesswoman, played by the Oscar-nominated actress.

The kidnapping of twenty-one-year-old Leo from a large, expensive hotel in downtown New York is captured on video and goes viral, according to a press release announcing the show.

Soon, four British citizens staying at the hotel become the prime suspects. But are they more guilty than being in the wrong place at the wrong time, it added.

The upcoming program was first given the green light in March 2020, shortly before pandemic lockdowns first halted all productions in the entertainment industry.

Suspicion is based on Keshet Broadcasting’s award-winning Israeli series False Flag, created by Amit Cohen and Maria Feldman.

No release date has been given for the series, but it is one of the few regular TV roles Thurman has played during her career.

Most recently, she headlined Netflix’s supernatural drama Chambers, appeared in multiple episodes of the Bravo series Imposters, and starred in the NBC miniseries The Slap.

Best known for her work on the big screen, Uma was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1995 for her performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction.

She received two Golden Globe nods for reuniting with Tarantino on Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2 in 2003 and 2004, and won a Golden Globe in 2003 for the HBO television movie Hysterical Blindness.
