Ulrika Jonsson has stated that older women are ‘finally doing it for themselves’ by taking off during lockdown.
The TV host, 53, shared how she admires stars like Amanda Holden, 50, Davina McCall, 53, and Madonna, 62, for proudly showing off their bodies.
Ulrika believes that a ‘revolution’ is underway in which older women now demand to be seen and will not be forced to ‘disappear’.

Write in her column for The sun, she wrote: “The thing is, the older women are finally doing it for themselves. We’ve been waiting in the wings for so long, waiting to be excited and appreciated.
‘We have been overlooked for decades and now is our time to step out of the shadows and be recognized. It’s like we started a new club, unconsciously but very consciously.
“This has been a quiet but long-awaited revolution of age struggles against perception, because ultimately it is in our power to be what we want to be.”
Ulrika admitted she has stopped watching her twenties ‘wannabes’ on social media that she believes are all projecting the same things.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star praised Amanda Holden recently sharing a stunning photo of herself donning a teal bathing suit and saying it was ‘refreshing’ to see a woman in her sixth decade in a bathing suit to wear.
She also noted that Lizzie Cundy, 52, entertained her social media followers during lockdown with a variety of scantily clad snaps, saying Jennifer Lopez’s figure is “ ambitious. ”
Ulrika praised Davina McCall for inspiring people to get fit by showing off her washboard abs on a regular basis and said Madonna would rival her body with any 25-year-old.
The broadcaster wrote that the women have all worked hard for their bodies and she loves to see them proudly showing off in front of the camera.

Ulrika said she also pushed her own boundaries during the lockdown and took some raunchy snapshots herself.
The presenter explained that most of her days have been spent lately on housework and gardening, but she plans to do it all in a ‘G-string’ from now on.
Ulrika’s words come shortly after she showed off her slim figure on Thursday as she undressed into her white bikini for a sultry mirror selfie.
The TV presenter hid her face with her phone as she showed off her physique in the skimpy two-piece halter neck on her Instagram stories.

Meanwhile, Ulrika sent a flirtatious message to ex-boyfriend James Crossley on Wednesday night as she watched him participate in reality show The Circle.
The Swedish presenter enjoyed a brief, ‘physical’ romance with bodybuilder Crossley, who is six years her junior, while they both worked on the hugely popular Saturday night show Gladiators in 1996.
Crossley – best known to fans as the muscular Hunter – is now taking part in Channel 4’s innovative new reality show, and Ulrika made sure to tune in to watch his latest exploits on Wednesday nights.

The presenter later shared a second image of the fitness idiot, who was eliminated on Wednesday’s show – in which contestants assume false identities and communicate through a social media app – after posing as fictional NHS nurse Gemma.
Ulrika enjoyed a brief affair with Crossley after her divorce from her first husband, cinematographer John Turnbull, after five years of marriage.
Message: It comes after Ulrika sent a flirty message to former boyfriend James Crossley (photo left) on Wednesday evening when she saw him participate in reality show The Circle.
The pair met while hosting Gladiators alongside former Wimbledon footballer John Fashanu, with Crossley’s alter-ego Hunter being one of the athletes competing against members of the public in physical challenges.
The relationship was denied at the time, but Ulrika eventually discussed their connection in her 2003 autobiography, Honest.
She said, “Well, I think I was in love with James. It was a physical thing. And what a nice man he has become! ‘
