Fooling around with her five siblings, singing in church and shining from ear to ear, this is & # 39; abandoned & # 39; Natalia Barnett, who lives with a Christian couple who regards her as their teenage daughter.
Three-foot tall Natalia, suffering from a rare form of dwarfism, is at the center of an extraordinary criminal case in which her adoptive parents Kristine and Michael Barnett were accused of neglect for having moved to Canada without her in 2013.
But depending on who you believe, the bustling young baby is "younger" or a 16-year-old girl – or a 30-year-old "sociopath" posing as a child.
Because in a twist worthy of a Hollywood movie, Kristine Barnett claimed in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com last week that she can show that Natalia in Ukraine is secretly an adult suffering from a serious psychiatric illness.
Three-year-old mother Kristine, 45, further claimed that her family were the real victims, after being scammed in 2010 to adopt an adult who then terrorized and tried to kill them.
While the bewildering case is preparing to play in court, a DailyMail.com investigation today may reveal that Natalia has found a new home with a Christian couple from Indiana and their five children.

Natalia & # 39; s new father figure, Antwon Mans, was recently ordained a pastor and lives in a former ecclesiastical rectory with his wife Cynthia. This week, Antwon Mans approached an hour from Indianapolis outside their rented four-bed home and refused to discuss Natalia's case with DailyMail.com

DailyMail.com understands that the devout couple are aware of the questions that are about the true age of their Ukrainian & # 39; daughter & # 39; spinning around, which is hardly any longer than a toddler due to bone disease, spondyloepimetaphysal dysplasia.
But images on social media make it clear that they treat the shrinking woman like a child, dress her in colorful children's clothes and add a photo of Natalia and a young playmate: & # 39; dearest best friends ever & # 39 ;.
A friend of the family told DailyMail.com that they consider the Mans as & # 39; Good Samaritans & # 39; who met an abandoned child in need of help and welcomed her into their hearts.
& # 39; De Mans takes care of Natalia and she likes being there, & # 39; said the girlfriend. & # 39; There is nothing crazy about this or that. These are good people.
Toevallig They happened to meet this person who was not treated well and took enough care to make sure that something was done about it. If it is true that her parents have abandoned her, it is terrible.
& # 39; I am not a doctor or psychiatrist, but I have spoken with Natalia and I believe her. If you ask me if I think she's 30, that's ridiculous. & # 39;
Despite a court ruling in 2012 declaring Natalia to be an adult, she has since remained a fixture in the life of the Mans, appeared on family outings, joined the church, and appeared in regular Facebook updates
Photos on social media make it clear that they treat the diminutive woman like a child and dress her up in colorful children's clothes. A Snapchat photo of Natalia and Antwon Mans is endorsed: & # 39; I love you so much, & # 39;
De Mans tried to become Natalia's legal guardians in 2016, but court reports show that they later withdrew their petition after the court confirmed an earlier ruling that she was born in 1989 and not in 2003.
Nevertheless, she has remained a fixture in their lives ever since, appeared on family outings, went to church and played Facebook updates regularly.
& # 39; They have already tried to talk to Natalia's adopted parents and tried to go to court, & # 39; the friend added. & # 39; They just get nowhere and now this escalates.
& # 39; She is just in a very uncomfortable position and they are trying to help her. There are actually very limited things they can do for her because people say she is 30. She can't even go to high school. & # 39;
Records show that the Mans have also sought custody for some of their other children.
A caption on the Facebook page of former McDonald & # 39; s manager Cynthia states: & # 39; Adoption is love & # 39 ;.
Another message, an apparent joke aimed at her children, reads: & My daughter. The sweetest. Most beautiful. Loving, wonderful. Evil, psychotic being that you will ever meet. & # 39;

They soon had doubts about her true age when they found that she had pubic hair, a period and a vocabulary that went beyond her years.
When Natalia began to experience serious psychological problems, they sought the advice of experts who agreed that she was probably much older than her birth certificate suggested.
Medical reports from 2012 show that Natalia had admitted & # 39; at least 18 years & # 39; and & # 39; maintained age misconceptions to be treated as a child by parents and strangers & # 39 ;.
In the same year, Kristine and Michael Barnett, who have since been divorced, filed a petition with the Marion Superior Court to review Natalia's date of birth.
With the stroke of a right pen, her birthday was legally changed from September 4, 2003 to September 4, 1989, which changed Natalia's age from eight to 22.
Kristine Barnett says that this meant that her adopted daughter could finally get the right treatment she needed as an adult.
By that time, she told DailyMail.com that Natalia had attacked other children, poured bleach into her coffee, and threatened to stab relatives and hide their bodies in the backyard.

A friend close to the family has denied that Natalia was actually 30 years old as & # 39; ridiculous & # 39;
& # 39; She stood above people in the middle of the night. You could not go to sleep. We had to hide all sharp objects, & # 39; said Barnett in our exclusive interview.

Kristine Barnett, 45, (photo) and ex-husband Michael Barnett, 43 have been accused of leaving their daughter, then 9, in Lafayette, Indiana, and fled to Canada in 2013. But Kristine denies the claims and says she and Michael were victims of a fraud that said the girl they adopted was an adult scammer trying to kill her
What is not disputed is that the Barnetts in the suburbs of Indianapolis were packed in the summer of 2013, so that Jake, the eldest of their three sons and a prodigy with autism, could attend a prestigious physics institute in Ontario, Canada .
Natalia stayed in Indiana, but they denied having abandoned her, insisting that they rent her an apartment in Lafayette and do their best to keep in touch.
And crucial is that they say that the majority of the medical evidence concludes that Natalia was an adult at the time, not a child.
However, prosecutors in Tippecanoe County see things very differently, accusing the couple of neglect of crime by endangering the life or health of a dependent person and denying her the necessary support and training.
A probable cause statement obtained by DailyMail.com quotes a series of bone density tests conducted at Natalia at the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in 2010 and 2012
The first estimated she was about eight years old, while the second suggested she was 11.
The statement also refers to an interview in 2014 with Natalia, who told a detective that her parents left her alone in the apartment in Lafayette and she never saw them again.
Michael Barnett surrendered to the authorities on September 18 and was released on bail of $ 5,000. A hearing took place before 2 September. Kristine Barnett surrendered to the authorities on Thursday, September 19, and was released after placing a $ 5,500 bond.
The couple showered Natalia with attention, took her to Disney World, enjoying ice cream, delicacies and playful pillow fights with her three brothers to slowly take her out of her shell
Bishop Mans and his wife appear to have entered Natalia's life sometime between 2013 and early 2016 when they applied to become their legal guardians, describing themselves as her & # 39; caretakers & # 39 ;.
Their submission in March 2016 describes Natalia as a & # 39; allegedly disabled person … about 13 or 14 years old, born on September 4 (year insecure) & # 39 ;.
The document, submitted to Tippecanoe Circuit Court, states that Natalia earns $ 733 per month in social benefits.
But it adds: & # 39; Natalia Grace Barnett is unable to maintain and care for her financial affairs and person because she is actually a minor who has been abandoned by her adoptive parents & # 39 ;.
When Michael Barnett filed an objection, the Manses sought a hearing for the 2012 court decision that Natalia had again & # 39; invalid and asked a new judge to restore her original date of birth.
Details of the subsequent April 2016 procedure are not publicly available and the guardian ad litem Ladona E. Sorenson of Natalia, an independent family lawyer appointed by the court to protect her best interests, said she could not comment.
The Manses lawyer, Michael B. Troemel, did not call back, but Terrance Kinnard, who represented Michael Barnett, said the application was denied.
& # 39; Natalia lived by herself and a few wanted to become her guardians. Because she thought she was a child, the couple tried to nullify the 2012 result & # 39 ;, he told DailyMail.com.
& # 39; This time the hearing was even deeper, not only did the judge look at medical reports and other documents, but witnesses came to court to explain why they were sure that Natalia 22 had been.
& # 39; The judge upheld the original results and the couple dropped the custody petition. & # 39;
The Mans did indeed withdraw their guardianship offer in January 2018 and it was rejected without prejudice.
Antwon Mans approached this week outside of their rented four-bed home an hour from Indianapolis and refused to discuss Natalia's case with DailyMail.com.
Cynthia Mans asked our reporter to leave the property, which used to be part of a neighboring church but has since been converted into a family home, and added: & # 39; We have nothing to comment on & # 39 ;.
