More than 100 easyJet flights have been grounded at Gatwick Airport due to severe thunderstorms.
Around 15,000 passengers have been affected by cancellations on Sunday and Monday as storms sweep the country after a prolonged spell of warm weather, with temperatures reaching 32°C.
The airline canceled 54 flights that were scheduled to depart or depart from Gatwick Airport on Sunday, while a further 55 flights were grounded on Monday.
Gatwick warned more storms are expected on Monday with a Met Office yellow thunderstorm warning in central England from 12pm to 9pm.
Affected passengers are not entitled to compensation under UK consumer law as the airline has no control over the cause of the disruption. However, they must be offered new flight options and assistance such as food and drink.
