Esteban Ribovics wasted no time getting UFC St. Louis underway on Saturday night.

Ribovics, not even a minute into his fight against Terrance McKinney on the undercard at the Enterprise Center, landed a wild kick that ended their fight before it could really begin.

Just 37 seconds into their match, Ribovics stepped up and delivered a ridiculous kick to McKinney’s head that sent him unconscious against the side of the octagon. Immediately, the fight was officially called and Ribovics began to celebrate.

“This is what I told people,” Ribovics said of his victory. via MMAfighting.com. “I tell people all the time, this is my time, this is my time. This is what we are here for. My plan was to go kill. I visualized it all week. It became a reality and I did it.”

The victory moved Ribovics to 13-1 in his career and marked his third victory in his last four fights. The 28-year-old Argentine also has seven knockouts in his career. McKinney, on the other hand, has just a 15-7 record and has lost four of his last seven.

The bout was one of six fights on the undercard ahead of Saturday’s main night in Missouri, which centers on Derrick Lewis’ heavyweight showdown against Rodrigo Nascimento. Lewis has won four of his last five fights, while Nascimento is on a three-fight winning streak.

Although the main card hadn’t even started yet, Ribovics’ brutal finish may end up earning him Performance of the Night.
